As Mental Health Awareness Month came to a close, I’ve been reflecting on the many meaningful moments I had the privilege to be part of this past May—events that reminded me again that we become what we practice.

From presenting a CLE to over 80 attorneys across the nation, to joining schools, clinics, and community groups in conversations about mental wellness, I saw firsthand the hunger so many of us carry—for clarity, balance, and emotional resilience. Every space I stepped into affirmed a powerful truth: mental wellness is not a luxury—it’s a necessity, and it begins with the smallest daily habits.

Whether I was sharing the Triumph Steps framework, speaking about emotional literacy, or offering practical tools to prevent burnout, my message remained the same:
Happiness is a skill that can be learned. Healing begins with awareness—notice what you are noticing.

I’ll admit—this month, I intentionally overextended myself. In addition to supporting my private clients, I said yes to more than usual, pouring my energy into as many spaces as I could. It was my way of honoring this month and showing up in service to the community I love. And while it left me tired, it also left me inspired—reminded of how deeply this work is still needed.

A recurring theme in every room was fear—fear of burnout, fear of not being enough, fear of not walking toward our dreams. But here’s the truth I shared over and over again:
Fear doesn’t mean we’re failing—it means we’re alive.
It’s not about eliminating fear, but learning to befriend it. To recognize the many ways it disguises itself. To meet it with awareness, with tools, and with courage. Because when we practice courage, presence, and emotional clarity—day by day—we soften fear’s grip and begin to live more freely.

As we enter the summer months, I invite you to pause, to reset, and to choose just one thing you can begin to practice today—whether it’s a morning gratitude ritual, ending your day with subconscious reprogramming, or simply unplugging more often.

If you attended one of the events last month, thank you for sharing that space with me. If you missed them and feel inspired to bring a mental wellness training, retreat, or presentation to your workplace, school, or community, I’d love to hear from you.
And if you’re preparing events for after the summer, let’s begin the conversation—I’m now booking for the fall.
