“What we focus on the longest grows the strongest.”
Today, on World Mental Health Day, what are you focusing on?
What if one of the most empowering tools for your mental wellness was to begin designing your future—to give yourself permission to dream about how you would LOVE your life to look?
You were given gifts and talents for a reason. Today, and throughout the rest of the year, I invite you to explore how you can use them in your work, in your family, and in your hobbies. How could something that comes naturally to you make a positive difference in someone else’s life?
Perhaps you have a gift for listening, creating, teaching, encouraging, or bringing people together. You don’t have to wait for a new job or a different season of life to use it. Look for opportunities right where you are.
Give Yourself Permission to Dream
How would you LOVE your life to look three years from now?
Think big. You don’t need to know exactly how you will get there to begin getting clear about what you want.
Explore your vision in these four areas:
- Relationships: What relationships would you love to nurture? How would you like to connect, communicate, and spend time with the people you love?
- Health and well-being: How would you love to feel physically and emotionally? What daily choices would help support that vision?
- Vocation and time: How would you love to use your talents? What would make your work meaningful, and what would you like to make more time for?
- Financial freedom: What would greater financial freedom make possible for you and your family? What would you love to experience or contribute?
Write your vision down. Return to it. Allow it to become more and more clear. Notice which possibilities fill you with inspiration and which reflect what truly matters to you.
Would you like help bringing your vision to life? Watch this video about visualization, then take a few quiet moments to imagine how you would LOVE your life to look three years from now.
Your vision can become a guide for the choices you make today. At Triumph Steps®, that is why we begin here: with a meaningful direction and the possibility of creating our lives by design.
Take One Meaningful Step
Now ask yourself:
What is one step I can take today—or this week—that will move me closer to my dreams?
Reach out to someone you love. Make time for your health. Explore an opportunity. Use one of your gifts to help someone. Choose a step small enough to take and meaningful enough to matter.
Caring for your mental wellness includes nurturing hope, purpose, and connection—even as you navigate real challenges and seek support when you need it.
This World Mental Health Day, give your attention to the life you would love to create and the good you can contribute along the way.
What we focus on the longest grows the strongest. What will you choose to grow?
