March brought with it two globally recognized celebrations: St. Patrick’s Day on March 17th, and later, World Happiness Day. Both days highlight ideas that, at first glance, might feel beyond our control—luck and happiness.
But as I reflected on these events, and as I’ve witnessed in my work through Triumph Steps, there’s a powerful truth I’ve seen proven time and time again: Luck and happiness are not random. They are skills we can cultivate—and they are essential ingredients in leading a triumphant life.
Luck Favors the Prepared Mind
St. Patrick’s Day is often associated with symbols of luck—four-leaf clovers, pots of gold, and the idea that some people are simply born lucky. But real life, as we know, tells a different story.
In Triumph, we teach that luck isn’t something you passively wait for. It’s something you prepare for. Luck happens when preparation meets opportunity.
This is why the very first step in the Triumph framework emphasizes setting a clear intention, envisioning the life you want, and cultivating a mindset ready to act when opportunities arise. Those who invest time in strengthening their thoughts, building resilience, and making purposeful decisions are far more likely to recognize the “lucky breaks” when they show up—and more importantly, to seize them quickly and confidently.
Luck is never an accident. It’s a product of inner preparation.
Happiness is Trainable, Just Like Triumph
Later in the month, on World Happiness Day, the global conversation shifted to joy and well-being. And here too, the message aligned beautifully with the Triumph philosophy.
Happiness is not something that appears spontaneously—it’s something we train ourselves to experience. In fact, Step 6 of Triumph focuses precisely on cultivating gratitude, which is one of the most effective tools for increasing happiness and elevating your emotional frequency.
Through consistent daily practices—affirmations, visualization, gratitude exercises, and mindful awareness—we can rewire our minds to lean toward joy, even when life presents challenges. Just as we build physical strength through repetition, we strengthen happiness through intentional habits.
Luck + Happiness = A Triumphant Life
The connection became so clear to me this March: Triumph, luck, and happiness are all intertwined.
At Triumph, we believe that anyone can live a triumphant life. But it doesn’t happen by chance. It happens when you prepare yourself mentally and emotionally, stay ready for opportunities, and commit to daily practices that nurture your well-being.
March’s celebrations remind us that we don’t need to leave luck or happiness to fate. We have the tools to shape them—just as we have the tools to shape our triumph.
So as we step into the next month, remember:
- Prepare your mind. Opportunity favors those who are ready.
- Cultivate happiness. Joy is a practice, not a coincidence.
- Embrace triumph. It is a skill you can learn and strengthen, every single day.
Here’s to continuing the journey to your most triumphant life—one intentional step at a time.
